Gabriela Iancu no it’s not. I have a house cat and whenever I take him to the vet he does this and the vet said to me “that’s a sign of a very distressed cat”. My friends house cat does the same at the vet a long with wetting itself.

My dad's a Veterinarian and I have two British shorthairs like prince Michael. Ones name is smokey and ones name is blue(not that you care but Anyways). If I play with 'em and it's hot outside too they keep their mouth open and if they are feeling uncomfortable they hiss.
