It’s not cgi. It’s a real cat in both shots. The pupils are computer animated. The shot in the bucket is also the same real cat just cropped from other footage and matted over the bucket footage (to make it appear that he’s in the bucket). Probably all done in after effects. Some computer manipulation, but definitely a real cat.

I once knew a vegetarian cat called Sam - although his human family were not veggies. When they ate their fish or meat meals, they had to prepare a salad for Sam. However, Sam was not popular with the neighbours, who had to fence in their vegetable gardens - because Sam would simply eat the veggies as soon as they sprouted.
